From the Mark Twain House, the viewer crosses the yard Twain shared with Harriet Beecher Stowe. From the Stowe house, continue right to see the carriage house of Franklin Chamberlain, which is now the Stowe Visitor Center, and the carriage house of the Mark Twain house. All these buildings existed in the original neighborhood.
